"The rules are just plain awful."
In rummy, when a player goes out in one shot, the rest of the players end up with their total hand value doubled as a negative score. It's crucial to understand that the game doesn’t automatically take away any valid melds before hitting you with penalties. Plus, the game permits a sequence of K-A-2, but there’s no clear value given to the Ace in such runs. That’s why most online rummy games let you use either Q-K-A or A-2-3, where the Ace can be valued at either 11 or 1 based on its placement, but never K-A-2, since scoring that way is just not feasible. It’s really annoying to see one player snagging 3 or 4 wild cards while you’re stuck with none and a bunch of duplicates of the same card.

On top of that, I’ve been having trouble with my browser crashing out of nowhere every time I try to play Rummy. The game provider insists it’s my issue and not a glitch on their side. Because of this, I’ve drained all the funds in my account and will only be joining their free game calendar from here on out. No more deposits for you, gameduell, because I think you’re a bunch of dishonest cheaters.

"Their rules are absolutely terrible."
In rummy, if a player goes out all at once, the other players will have the total amount of their hand doubled as a negative point value. It's important to note that the game does not automatically remove any legitimate melds before penalizing you. Additionally, the game allows for a run of K-A-2, but there is no specific value assigned to the Ace in runs like that. This is why most digital rummy games allow either Q-K-A or A-2-3, where the Ace can be worth either 11 or 1 depending on its position, but never K-A-2, as scoring that is impossible. It's frustrating to see how often one player ends up with 3 or 4 wild cards while you receive none and multiple copies of the same card.

Furthermore, I've been experiencing issues with my browser suddenly shutting down whenever I try to play Rummy. The game provider claims it's my fault and not a glitch on their end. As a result, I've used up all the funds in my account and will only participate in their free game calendar from now on. I won't be making any more deposits for you, gameduell, as I believe you are dishonest cheaters.

"A Review from Someone Who Values Their Cash"
I signed up for GameDuell thinking I’d have a blast playing games, but when my credits ran out, I found myself in a tough spot unless I forked over some cash. The kicker is, if you’re in Canada, you’re really out of luck since they don’t cater to Canadian players, despite being based in the USA. I reached out to them, and they mentioned plans to expand eventually, but no clear timeline was given. RoyalGames shut down and pointed me to GameDuell, but honestly, I’d steer clear of it.

Here’s the email I got from them:

Dear GameDuell customer,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.
You’re right that players from Canada can’t upgrade to paying members.

We’re working on making our gaming platform available internationally. Unfortunately, only folks from the countries listed on the registration form can sign up as paying players. If Canada were added to the drop-down menu, then registration from there would be possible.

We’re sorry for any trouble this has caused and hope to welcome you to GameDuell soon!

If you have more questions, feel free to reach out.

Best,

Barry Thompson

"This review is clearly written by someone who prioritizes money."
I joined GameDuell with the hope of playing games, but once my credits ran low, I was out of luck unless I became a paying player. The problem is that if you live in Canada, you're out of luck because they don't recognize Canada and can't pay Canadian players, even though they are based in the USA. I contacted them and they said they will expand at some point, but they couldn't give me a specific timeline. RoyalGames closed down and recommended GameDuell, but I would advise against it.

Here is the email I received from them:

Dear GameDuell customer,

Thank you for reaching out to us.
You are correct in stating that Canadian players are unable to upgrade to become paying players.

We are currently in the process of fully internationalizing our gaming platform. As a result, we regret to inform you that only residents of the countries listed on the registration form can register as paid players. If Canada were to be included in the drop-down menu, then registration from Canada would be possible.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused and hope to be able to welcome you to GameDuell in the near future!

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,

Barry Thompson

"Total scam! They won't handle big payouts."
I've been playing on GameDuell for a decade and have consistently cashed out small wins without a hitch. But the moment I hit over a hundred bucks, they shut down my account. I even tried it with my partner's account, and guess what? Same deal. They just disabled it for no good reason as soon as my winnings went past $100. It's a real bummer because the games are actually fun.

"This is an absolute scam! They refuse to process large payouts."
I have been using GameDuell for ten years and have always won small amounts, successfully withdrawing them. However, as soon as I won over a hundred dollars, they deactivated my account. I even tested this by using my partner's account, and the same thing occurred. They deactivated the account without any valid reason once I had winnings exceeding $100. It's a shame because the games are genuinely enjoyable.

"Decent experience, but nothing to write home about."
There's a good variety of games on offer, but the community vibe could use some work. The site runs well, and the customer support is top-notch.

"Dishonest Practices"
Absolutely, this is a German-owned company, and they seem to band together against you. I've been at it for years and have gotten some awful messages from players from Germany. When I attempted to reply, my account got shut down. On the bright side, I’ll be saving a good chunk of change. But the flip side is that they play dirty, and you end up with nothing. It feels like tossing your cash out the window. Gameduell is raking in the profits from everyone. #GAMEDUELL
Plus, they really don’t have much love for Americans.

"Cheaters"
Yes, it's a company owned by Germans and they tend to team up against you. I've been playing for years and have received terrible messages from German players. When I tried to respond, my account was deactivated. The positive aspect is that I will save a significant amount of money. However, the downside is that they cheat and you never earn any money. It's as if throwing your money out the window. Gameduell is profiting greatly from everyone. #GAMEDUELL
And they strongly dislike Americans.

"Review: Enigmatic Players"
I gave a multiplayer game on this site a shot. When I looked at the status, I was pleased to see the last player come in... but then, poof, that player disappeared. What the heck... A fresh player popped in and took me down. It really made me question the fairness of this site. I had seen this happen previously but wasn't sure if I was just imagining things. Now that it’s happened again, I’m starting to think something’s off.

"This site is full of rude folks."
I wouldn't suggest playing Crazy 8 with German players on this site. In nearly every game, those German players always seem to have the upper hand. It's really annoying and feels unjust. This gaming platform seems to favor German players, and it feels like they're out to exploit others. I'm just sharing my honest experience here, and it's not merely a complaint because I'm upset.

"Misleading Practices"
I've been part of gameduell for a good few years now and really enjoyed their games. I used to play with just a little cash for kicks, not aiming to make any money or cash out. Lately, though, I've been dealing with a lot of game dropouts, and the company hasn't been helpful with refunds. Like others have pointed out, it's pretty clear that some players are cheating, which is a real letdown because I value fair competition. Plus, winning against higher-ranked players feels nearly impossible, almost like they have some sort of edge. Even though I love the games, I've hit my breaking point with being taken for granted and have made the choice to close my account. If you're thinking about joining, consider this a heads-up.

"This review is written by a native speaker: "Deceptive tactics""
I have been a member of gameduell for several years and have thoroughly enjoyed playing their games. I used to play with small amounts of money just for fun, not with the intention of making a profit or withdrawing funds. However, recently I have been experiencing frequent game dropouts and the company has been unwilling to provide refunds. As others have mentioned, it is quite obvious that some players cheat, which I find disappointing because I believe in fair play. Additionally, it is extremely rare to win against higher ranked players, almost as if there is a built-in advantage for them. Despite my love for the games, I have reached my limit of being taken advantage of and have decided to cancel my account. If you are considering joining, take this as a warning.

"This betting platform caters to folks who might not be the sharpest tools in the shed."
I'm just messing around with the free points for some fun. They take a hefty 50% cut on each game. If you're up for a gamble and want to swap your $2 for $1, you can dive in with real cash.

"Robbers is a true gem of a film."
Avoid signing up! I've been a member for two years, and after making a bunch of deposits and spending countless hours gaming, I finally snagged a win of nearly $200. But that's when the trouble started. They wanted me to create live test videos, which made it super tough to get good scores with the time constraints. In the end, they congratulated me but wouldn’t accept my videos, saying my scores weren’t high enough. So, they kept my cash and, to make matters worse, they shut down my account. Their tactics are shady, and they’re nothing but thieves!
